Wilbur Beaney Jr.

Wilbur Beaney, Jr., 76, of Hope Mills, NC was born February 16, 1946 in Cumberland Co. to the late Wilbur Sr. and Mable J. Beaney and departed this life, Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

In addition to his parents, Wilbur is preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Beaney and Bobby Beaney and one sister, Frances Speights.

Wilbur leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memories, his wife, Betty Jenkins Beaney of the home; one son, Johnny Beaney and wife, Tammy of Hope Mills; three stepchildren, Gwyn Jackson of Parkton, John Jackson, Jr. of Fayetteville and Wanda Kenny of Roseboro; five sisters, Shirley Jackson, Marilyn Blackburn and Sue Owens all of St. Pauls, Barbara Willoughby of Lumberton and Betty Hinson of Sanford; one granddaughter, Arika Beaney; one great granddaughter, Reagan Bovin; three step grandchildren, John Kenny, Jacqueline Holmes (Francis) and Cheyenne Jackson; two step great grandchildren, Ava Holmes and Sean Holmes and a host of other relatives and friends.
