Ms. Wilma Delorme, 85 of Gray’s Creek, died Monday December 28, 2020. She was born on June 16, 1935 in Robeson County to the late Walter Lee and Normie Pittman Hall. She and her husband Claude owned and operated the Gray’s Creek Restaurant (now known as the Creek) for 15 years until declining health caused them to sell their business. She loved baking and cooking. She was a baseball fan who really enjoyed the Atlanta Braves and the Washington Nationals. TV game shows were her favorite, especially the Price Is Right. In addition to her parents, Walter Lee and Normie Hall, she was preceded in death by her husband Claude Delorme and daughter Theresa Gautier and grandchildren Kristi Miller and Jonathan Gregory. Ms. Delorme is survived by her children Melba Miller and her husband Howard, Connie Gregory, and Sam Bourassa and his wife Melinda, all of Hope Mills. She has eight grandchildren, Keith Miller and his wife Rebecca of Fuquay Varina, Kevin Miller and his wife Dawn of Hope Mills, William Gregory and his wife Farah of Texas, Brandace Tyner of Hope Mills, Brian Barefoot, Mike Barefoot, Tina Lefler and her husband Gene, all of Charlotte, Tony Gautier of Hope Mills, Erin Mooring and her husband Blake of Raleigh, and Brittany Bourassa of Fayetteville. Her nine great grandchildren are Alyssa and Jordan Miller of Hope Mills, Jackson, Sophie and Hudson Miller of Fuquay Varina, Amberlynn and Willie-Jon Gregory of Texas, Malakye Neely and Colton Locklear of Hope Mills, Zoe Barefoot of Charlotte, and Blake Mooring of Raleigh. A brother David “Buck” Ivey. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, January 4, 2020 at 2:00 pm in Gilmont Cemetery with the Reverend Paul Worley officiating. McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls is serving the family.
